March 25, 2020 Dear Resident,Over the past few days, we have seen an unprecedented event impacting our communities, due to the ever-expanding COVID-19 virus/ pandemic. Due to this unprecedented event, we are taking measures in order to keep our employees safe, while continuing to service you without interruption, and in the best interest of the health and well-being of our employees. Effective immediately, we are making the following changes to our service guidelines until further notice:   Sanitation Solutions will only pick up bagged trash that has been placed inside the trash cart and recycling materials (where available) placed inside the recycling cart or bin. Any materials placed outside the cart will not be picked up. Residents are strongly encouraged to place all trash in bags which have been tied before being placed in the carts to eliminate loose debris being left in containers or on the ground. Amended solid waste plan reduces cost, improves recycling DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THIS LETTER (Lawrenceville, Ga., June 18, 2018) – Residents of unincorporated Gwinnett County will see a reduction in the monthly fee for solid waste collection starting July 1 when an eight-year agreement with residential trash haulers goes into effect. As part of the agreement, Gwinnett County residents will retain their existing hauler. The overall monthly fee for solid waste collection has been reduced from $19.16 to $17.91. The senior discount will change from 15 percent to 25 percent, reducing senior fees from $16.47 to $13.75 per month. Residents ages 62 and older who are not currently receiving the senior discount must submit an application and affidavit form to Solid Waste Management.
